On 16th January 2018 Natural England published two guides: ‘Guide to reclaiming mineral extraction and landfill sites to agriculture’ and ‘Planning and aftercare advice for reclaiming land to agricultural use’. Copies of these publications can be accessed via the following link:
Over the years, David Jarvis Associates has undertaken major research projects for the UK Government (specifically for Defra, MHCLG and ODPM), the Welsh Assembly Government and Scottish Parliament on the various potential afteruses of quarries.
