The research was commissioned by the Welsh Assembly Government via WRAP Cymru.  The trials were at 4 locations in Wales covering aggregate, slate, coal and metaliferous extraction.  Anaerobic digestate and PAS 100 compost were added to quarry waste to encourage plant growth.  Early results showed dramatic improvements.
