Jim is a Chartered Landscape Architect and a director of the firm. He joined David Jarvis Associates in 1988 and was made a Director in 2007, heading up the planning department which he created. Jim specialises in project management and landscape design for developments in all sectors based both in the UK and overseas. Recent projects include the landscape design of the British embassy in Doha, the planning and design of a new village settlement in Kent and the landscape design and project management of landforms comprising five million cubic metres of overburden at one of the UK’s largest granite quarries.
Since 1990, Jim has acted as expert landscape witness at numerous public inquiries relating to developments in the commercial, residential and industrial sectors.
