Stancliffe Quarry, Derbyshire
DJA is working on behalf of the landowner/developer to bring forward a proposed residential development at this abandoned stone quarry on the edge of the Derbyshire Dales National Park; the site is allocated for the provision of approximately 100 dwellings in the adopted Local Plan. The site has a number of constraints, including the need to remove significant amounts of quarried stone/associated spoil and forming an appropriate development platform. The site also contains significant tree cover (some covered by a TPO) as well a Grade II Listed boundary wall that will require sensitive treatment where a new vehicular access is to be created. DJA is responsible for planning and overall project management, including assembling a project team and leading pre-application consultation with the local planning authority, and viability. DJA will also be undertaking all landscape-related work, including LVIA and detailed landscape design.
