David Jarvis

David is the former chairman of the firm which he established in 1982, and now acts as a consultant to DJA. With 35 years’ experience in landscape planning, landscape architecture and environmental impact assessment, David has acted as lead consultant on numerous development projects, some worth in excess of £100,000,000.

He has advised governments and corporations in fifteen countries (particularly in Europe, the Middle East and the Caribbean); projects include national Strategic Environmental Assessments in Saudi Arabia and Trinidad. David has co-ordinated twenty pieces of UK Government research and has acted as an expert witness at various public inquiries throughout the UK.

He was President of the Landscape Institute from 2000-2002 and has published articles in the Architects Journal and in the Building Design, Planning, Landscape Design and Mineral Planning publications.
