With a background in planning law (having practised for five years as a solicitor with a national law firm), Julia joined David Jarvis Associates in 2008. Julia is a minerals, waste and development planner who advises on all aspects of the planning application process, including preparation and submission of planning applications and environmental statements and promotion of sites in mineral plans.
Since 2014 and 2021 respectively, Julia has been contracted by DLUHC as the Technical Secretary for the South West and East of England Aggregates Working Parties, advisory groups which aim to produce fit-for-purpose and comprehensive data on aggregate demand and supply in their areas and provide advice to individual mineral planning authorities and to government via the National Aggregate Co-ordinating Group.
