The slate mining industry has been a part of the landscape in North Wales for hundreds of years.  Welsh Slate had so much historical data and records in paper form that it commissioned DJA to create a searchable Geographic Information System (GIS) and transfer all of their information onto it.  This also allows for rapid drawing production.
