NW Bicester is the UK’s first eco-town and has been designed to the highest sustainability standards in the country.  The town will include 6,000 energy efficient homes, onsite energy generation, efficient public transport links, bike lanes, schools and various community and recreational facilities.

DJA developed the landscape proposals for phases’ 3 and 4, on behalf of Crest Nicholson and A2Dominion, creating a series of spaces to encourage social cohesion and green connections.  Paving details within shared streets subtly integrate cars and pedestrians, creating spaces where people are the priority. The use of native and flowering species throughout the scheme provides an ecologically centred approach to urban planting design.
