DJA currently provides the ‘Technical Secretariat’ services to the South West Aggregates Working Party (SWAWP), an advisory group which provides advice to individual mineral planning authorities and to the National Aggregate Co-ordinating Group.  Membership of the SWAWP comprises representatives from, amongst others, the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC), mineral planning authorities, the Mineral Products Association and the British Aggregates Association.  Cornwall County Council provides the current chair of the SWAWP and more information about it can be found on Cornwall’s website via the following link:  https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/environment-and-planning/planning/minerals-waste-and-renewable-energy/south-west-aggregates-working-party/
